Pioneer Adventure is the true innhopp-enthusiast’s wet dream - featuring several never-before-jumped LZ:s, more committing landing areas - further away from Hardangerfjord!

It is Even’s darling - an event specially designed for the typical “high-sensation-seekers” who perhaps have joined us before, landed at the classic spots around the area and now want to go deeper into both nature and themselves!

Pioneer Adventure is for those that love the unexpected and enjoy the challenges of not knowing. For many of those, the passion of living has won the upper hand, instead of the money-making focus. To accommodate for this, the Pioneer Adventure cuts back on non-skydiving related spendings - going back to basics, while still offering an amazing 6 helicopter jumps and 6 plane jumps into rarely jumped, more challenging LZ:s around Hardangerfjord!

The Pioneer Adventure Highlights

Even’s Words

“Pioneer Adventure is for the adventurous type. The event where you're allowed to set and break your own boundaries, and where the ultimate reward is solely yours. It has a lower price level of €3,950, or €1,500 for non-jumper companions, and we ask for 200 jumps minimum as a requirement for participants, as well as ability to consistently land within 100m diameter.  The jumps are a nice selection of Limited size landing areas where it’s your only choice. We have set the event in early June, two weeks before Extreme Week and midsummer night, in a beautiful time of the year.

We follow a storyline following the archetype of a Viking - believed to be much similar to that of what socieology Professor Gunnar Breivik calls “High Sensation Seekers” (HSS). Breivik was one of the first river kayakers in Norway and was the first one doing research on this type. We’ve learned that we skydivers belong to this certain part of the population.

Studying these common denominators among people like ourselves, many of us has this reaction: ‘That’s ME!’

Is it you?”

Where you’ll go!

11 unique jumps have been chosen for the Pioneer Adventure! 5 from heli and 6 from airplane!

Get inspiration from a 2025 innhopp trip to the same area!

Day 1 – Sunday, June 7

We meet on Sunday at 15:00 (3 PM) at Skydive Voss for registration and briefing. Then we go straight for our first Innhopp right at the campsite — a proper kick-off with its 140 m introductory Innhopp. For this event, we ask for a minimum of 200 jumps, thus qualified for Pro Ratings.

We check in to our cabins at Kvanndal Camp — shared cabins in old Norwegian style. They are not of the highest standard, but they bring about a cozy, family feeling. After check-in, we meet for the official opening of our event, with presentations of ourselves and the program, as well as the load setup. Every evening before dinner, we hold a general briefing where we evaluate our day and go through the plan for tomorrow.

Day 2 – Monday, June 8

Every morning, breakfast is served at 07:00, followed by a morning update. On this day, with a 9:00 takeoff from Skydive Voss, we begin with a “spicy” jump onto a limited landing area to boost our self-confidence and prepare us for the Viking challenges ahead.

Our second jump takes us to the Viking Centre of Ravenheart in the Hardangerfjord, where we will also visit some old Viking graves at Hereid. The assumed similarities in a Viking archetype are comparable to those of the modern-day High Sensation Seeker — so we are now on a hunt to see where we come from.

After lunch, we’ll have a few options to choose from: we can do another jump, go speedflying or paragliding, or simply take a few hours in Eidfjord town (Dolce Vidda also makes the best ice cream in Hardanger…).

General briefing, dinner, and rest before another thrilling day.

Day 3 – Tuesday June 9

Our morning takeoff takes us to Odda, The Viking Hall — a plateau among high mountains. This is our first jump of the day and a warm-up before our two upcoming challenges: a 70 m or 140 m island (with a backup option) before lunch, then an even more challenging landing in another former Viking camp on a shelf in the hillside, where it is our only option.

After a successful landing here, I believe we should now feel much like a Viking after a successful raid… So now it’s out with the mead (mjöd) for our mid-week Viking party! Although wild and crazy, we’re also smart — and call it a night in reasonable time, with everyone in bed by midnight. Still two days to go.

This morning, we go west and jump at a beautiful location near Skipshelleren, with old rune carvings in the rocks. The helicopter comes to pick us up for our second jump at the spectacular Bolstadfjorden, where we will also enjoy our lunch.

Driving back to the DZ, we get ready to move to the second-largest fjord in the world — Sognefjorden. Also rich in Viking history, we start our visit with a breathtaking jump over this grand natural spectacle. We are now to visit the impressive statue of Fridtjof den Frøkne — as the first jumpers ever.

From here, we will drive to Vik i Sogn, a charming village filled with cultural surprises, including a stave church, a stone church, and an old prison. We will pass all of these on our way to Målseid Fjellstove, a mountain hut on our way to Gudvangen.

Day 4 – Wednesday, June 10

After breakfast, the helicopter will pick us up at the mountain hut, dropping us at Dyrdal, a roadless village in Nærøyfjorden. There are a few options for landing areas. Then, we will be met with sea kayaks and paddle our way back to Bakka.

In Bakka, our trusted helicopter will pick us up again — this time dropping us in the Majestic Valley of the Gods, where we will jump by a great waterfall and land by the Viking village, also concluding the jumping part of our adventure. It will be possible to make extra jumps here before we all enter the Viking world of Njardarheimr.

We finish with a banquet at Gudvangen Fjordtel, also our place to sleep.

Day 5 – Thursday, June 11

Day 6 – Friday, June 12

After breakfast and check-out, we move back to Voss. During transport, we will also ask for your feedback before we arrive in Voss and then separate.

For those staying longer, an Even’s Secret Friday Innhopp will be planned for the evening.

Accommodation

Three nights at Camp Kvanndal, one night in mountain hut and one night in Gudvangen Fjortel. All accommodations are waterfront, and they all offer something unique. By default, the price includes a shared double room. Single room upgrades are often but not always available. In the registration form you’ll be asked to specify what you’d like.

The Food

Norwegian cuisine bring together seafood like fresh Arctic cod and salmon, hearty dishes such as reindeer stew, and traditional flavors of brunost (brown cheese), all rooted in the country’s rugged landscapes and coastal topography.

Since this event is for the Innhopp-purist - we have shaved off much of the non-skydiving extras, keeping it simple. Food will be functional, yet hardy and tasty.

And of course the final banquet will treat you to something special!

Eat like a viking? We will - all inclusive!

Surface Transport

Pioneer Adventure of course includes all the surface transport we need to charge forward, such as minibuses, sea kayaks and ferry!

The Aircraft

Pioneer Adventure feature 6 plane jumps and 5 helicopter jumps!

Plane jumps are more cost-effective but take a little longer. With the heli we can get picked up in the field, right where we landed from the first jump - no need to shuttle to the airport!

The airplane for this event is the Cessna Caravan, based out of Skydive Voss. It fits 18 jumpers.

The helicopter we're jumping from is a AS 350 B3 Ecureuil. It fits five jumpers.

Who’s Coming?

Safety & Team

We use professional skydivers who spend their private time in the mountains, who study the dynamic weather patterns and have thousands of jumps under their belt. Even Rokne, Andreas Mosling, Petter Stensvold, Johannes Bergfors might be names you’d recognise.

Additionally, the ground staff include jump leader, non-jumper guide, drivers, packer, rigger and logistics master. Camera men make sure the event will live on forever also on your screens - using drone, real photography camera and video camera!

Check out our YouTube Channel for previous event movies and even a special reality show style film named “High Odds of Failure”!

It is a demanding task being the load master for innhopps, and we hire only the best for our events.

Your Loved Ones

We are regularly joined by our own family members and we want your non-jumping loved ones to feel as welcome as them! So we create an incredible adventure for everyone!

Our skydiving adventures take you to Even’s absolute favorite spots around the Hardangerfjord — places he believes everyone should see at least once. And because great experiences are better shared, you’re welcome to bring your spouse, friend, or family member along, obviously to a much lower price, since they won’t be jumping!

They’ll have their own guide and a comfortable modern minivan to explore the region’s highlights while you’re up in the sky. Sometimes they’ll watch us land - other times not. They continuously discuss with their guide how to best spend their time! We offer them the chance to ride in the helicopter and join all surface activities!

The Innhopp Family

One thing that sets our events apart is our focus on camaraderie and connection.

During the course of the week all participants and staff are asked to present themselves in front of the whole event. Additionally, we form teams who first learn and then hold a presentation about topics like Norway’s flora, fauna or history!

At the end of the week - a quiz is held to test what is remembered! Even, our founder, also takes stage many times per day - narrating the event, sharing his own experiences and highlighting unique moments that happen.
